Elementary Editorial Review
**** The "Beginning Algebra (5th Edition)" textbook has garnered favorable attention among students, particularly those attending Sac City College. It is widely praised for its affordability, with one user noting they purchased it for merely $0.95, a remarkably low price for a college textbook. Students appreciate the accessible teaching style of the author, Martin-Gay, which is highlighted as a significant strength of the book. Reviewers remarked on the structured approach of the material, where each assignment builds on previous ones, making it easier for learners to grasp complex algebra concepts. However, some users encountered challenges, particularly regarding the access code required for additional online resources associated with the book. One reviewer expressed frustration at discovering that purchasing a used copy did not come with the access code, which necessitated an extra $78 expense. This critical information was apparently not communicated clearly prior to the purchase, leading some to feel misled about the total cost of owning the text. Overall, while the textbook is commended for its clarity and organizational structure, potential buyers should be cautious regarding the added costs associated with the access code. **
