Pro-Ject Record Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies 9120122295700 Editorial Review

The Pro-Ject VC-E2 Record Cleaning Machine has garnered a mixed reception from customers, showcasing both commendation for its cleaning capability and criticism regarding its design and operation. Many users highlight the machine's effectiveness in rejuvenating old vinyl records, with some reporting that records over 40 years old now play as if they were new. The cleaning process is generally described as straightforward and enjoyable, with users appreciating the ability to reduce unwanted noise such as pops and crackles after cleaning. Customers value the upgrades made in this model, including a magnetized label protector and improved air vent location, emphasizing the simplicity and effectiveness of the design. However, some customers remain skeptical about the machine's performance, pointing out shortcomings such as its loud vacuuming process, the ability to only clean one side at a time, and challenges with warped records. Users have mentioned that the cleaning brush supplied with the machine can lose hairs, leading them to seek alternative brushes for better results. This sentiment is echoed by a few who feel that the machine does not adequately remove surfactant residue from records. In summary, while the Pro-Ject VC-E2 Record Cleaning Machine impresses many with its capability to enhance sound quality and restore vinyl records, varying user experiences suggest it may not meet everyone's expectations—particularly concerning design flaws and usability for warped records. **
